I was there when the sign industry went from handcrafted to computer generated in the 90’s. I was there when the print industry went digital in the 00’s. AI for me is a tool, just like all the other technological breakthroughs that helped advance art and creativity.

In honor of suicide awareness, my dear friend Marie asked if I could do a piece for her Best Friend that recently passed. Here’s a snippet of the story…

Vision Idea Design is inviting artwork submissions for its SatARTday Artist Showcase. The event will be held on Saturday, December, 10th 2022 at the Patriots Pub & Grill. All submissions will be reviewed and selected artists will be invited to participate with between one and five artworks.

Showcasing Tom Lawton, a very talented artist that has relaxing and calming pieces. I just want to share the story Chris crafted for Tom’s new creation.

Arnold Skolnick, who with only a few days to work designed what became one of the most familiar pop-culture images of its time, the poster for the original Woodstock music festival in 1969, died on June 15 in Amherst, Mass. He was 85. Of course we had to recreate it!! …and with that comes legalities, and compensating the original artist. Our design was very similar to the original, except digitally drawn and not from cut paper. We procured the proper license agreement to use our imagery of the original image for every facet of media coverage.
